[Canon EOS 300D , 30s : Orion 2007_12_14bis]
Here is the orionis constellation, from Brive 19 (France), on the 14th of December 2007, during the evening.
We can see the colors of the stars :
Betelgeuse (alpha orionis) , in the top left part, is red ;
Bellatrix (gamma orionis), in the top central part, is blue ;
Rigel (beta orionis), in the bottom right part, is white-blue ;
Saiph ( kappa orionis), in the bottom part, is blue ;
From left to right, in the central part, Alnitak (zeta) , Alnilam (epsilon) , Mintaka (delta) are blue.

Voici la constellation d'Orion, depuis Brive 19 (France), dans la soirée du 14 décembre 2007.
On peut voir les couleurs d'étoiles :
Bételgeuse (alpha) , en haut à gauche, est rouge ;
Bellatrix (gamma), en haut au centre, est bleue ;
Rigel (beta), en bas à droite, est blanc-bleu ;
Saiph (kappa), en bas, est bleue ;
De gauche à droite, au centre, Alnitak (zeta), Alnilam (epsilon), Mintaka (delta) sont bleues.

Mirfak (alpha Persei) is in the center of the picture, upon delta Persei.
Algol (beta Persei) is in the right part of the picture, behind branches.
The Holmes comet is just on the left of Mirfak and delta Persei ;
it looks like a fuzzy spot.

Mirfak (alpha de Persée) est dans le centre de l’image, au-dessus de delta de Persée.
Algol (beta de Persée) est dans la partie droite de l’image, derrière les branches.
La comète Holmes est juste à gauche de Mirfak and delta de Persée ;
elle apparaît comme une tache floue.

We can see the nucleus (small white bright central spot) and the coma (around the nucleus).
I think than we cannot see the tails because they are behind the comet, in the opposite direction.
Do you agree with that ?
Since the 24th of October, the comet was becoming bigger and bigger every day.

On peut voir le noyau (petite tache blanche brillante au centre) et la chevelure (autour du noyau).
Je pense qu’on ne peut pas voir les queues parce qu’elles sont de l’autre côté de la comète, par rapport à nous.
Etes-vous d’accord avec cela ?
A partir du 24 octobre, la comète grossit de jour en jour.
